Percent full
Each tank card shows how full the cistern is right now, calculated from your dimensions and the latest sensor reading.
User Guide
Everything the app does, in one place: read your levels, set up alerts, understand leak detection, and manage your devices.
Four steps from install to live readings.
Install the Your Ideas VI app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open it and create an account with your email, or sign in if you already have one.
Tap "Add Device" on the home screen and follow the prompts to connect the gauge to your Wi-Fi. The full pairing flow is covered in the troubleshooting guide.
Open the new device and enter the four cistern measurements. The app converts the sensor distance into gallons and percent-full from these numbers.
Within about a minute the device reports its first reading. Your tank now appears on the home screen with a live level and last-updated time.
New hardware not mounted yet? Start with the installation guide.
Every cistern you add appears as a card. Here is what each part tells you.
Each tank card shows how full the cistern is right now, calculated from your dimensions and the latest sensor reading.
The estimated volume of water left, so you know exactly how much you have — not just a percentage.
A colored indicator shows whether the device is online and reporting. Offline devices are flagged so a stale reading is never mistaken for a live one.
The time of the most recent reading. A healthy device updates regularly throughout the day.
Tap a tank to open its detail view.
The current percent-full and gallons, front and center, refreshed as new readings arrive.
A trend of your water level over time — see how fast you are using water, spot a refill, or catch a slow drain.
Reach tank dimensions, alert thresholds, Wi-Fi reconfiguration, and data management from the info (i) and three-dot (⋯) menus in the top corner.
The app pushes a notification when something needs your attention — even when it is closed.
Fires when your level drops below the threshold you set, so you can schedule a delivery before you run dry.
Tells you when the gauge stops returning valid readings — usually an obstruction, a loose connection, or a shifted sensor.
Lets you know the gauge has stopped reporting (often a Wi-Fi or power issue) so a stale number is never mistaken for live data.
With leak detection enabled, alerts you to abnormal water loss that does not match normal usage — often the first sign of a leak.
Leak detection turns your cistern monitor into an early-warning system. Instead of only telling you how much water you have, it watches how your water is being used and speaks up when something looks wrong.

Open a device and use the settings menu to fine-tune how it reports.
Width, length, height, and overflow height drive every gallon and percentage. Keep these accurate — re-enter them if you ever re-mount the sensor.
Set the low-water level that triggers a warning, so the alert lines up with how much lead time you need for a delivery.
Changed routers or moved the gauge? Put the device in setup mode and re-run pairing from the device menu. Step-by-step instructions are in the troubleshooting guide.
If a gauge fails, the reconfigure flow lets the replacement take over the same logical device — your history, alerts, and settings carry over with no data loss.
Clears all readings for a device while keeping it paired to your account. This cannot be undone, so the app asks you to confirm.
Removes the device and all of its data from your account. To use it again you would add it from scratch. The app asks you to confirm.
