Cistern Monitor

An ultrasonic level sensor that lives in your cistern and sends live readings to the cloud, with smart alerts for low water, leaks, and abnormal usage.

What it does

Ultrasonic level sensing

Reads the water surface from above with no contact — nothing corrodes, nothing snags on debris, nothing to replace every season.

Mounted in 20 minutes

Single-cable run from the cistern lid to a sheltered outlet. Powered by a small 5V adapter or PoE on the Ethernet configuration.

Live in the app the moment it boots

Pair from your phone, name the device, and you're seeing readings. Multiple cisterns under one account.

Smart alerting, not noisy alerting

Low-water, abnormal-loss, leak, and offline alerts — each with its own threshold and time window so you only get pinged when it matters.

Two configurations, one app

Same firmware, same dashboard, same alerts — pick the radio that fits the site.

WiFi

Standard
$685

The default — quick to install on any 2.4 GHz home network.

Best for

Most residential cisterns and short-run installations.

  • 802.11 b/g/n — 2.4 GHz only (no 5 GHz)
  • Dynamic in-app WiFi provisioning from your phone — no cables to your router
  • Indoor enclosure, IP54 rated

Ethernet + WiFi

$730

Wired networking with WiFi included — for sites with no WiFi reach or stricter network policies.

Best for

Properties where WiFi doesn't reach the cistern, commercial installs, and anyone who prefers cabled networking.

  • 10/100 Ethernet — DHCP or static, plus the same 2.4 GHz WiFi
  • PoE (802.3af) — a single Cat-5e/6 run carries data and power
  • Same firmware and same dashboard as the WiFi configuration
  • Recommended for outbuildings and below-grade cistern caps

Prices include equipment and installation. Most installations are completed with the standard WiFi configuration at $685.

Not sure which is right? If your cistern is within reliable 2.4 GHz reach, pick WiFi. If the cistern is in an outbuilding, deep crawlspace, or you want a single PoE cable to carry data and power, pick Ethernet.
